I have always been fascinated by living creatures, and I wonder if we could discover how some of our current living things connect to past living things. Kindergarteners love digging in the sand and I think they would be curious about fossils and uncovering hidden things. Students would learn about dinosaurs and prehistoric earth, as well as current living species and how they are similar. Students could relate this to their family lineages to tie in elements of culture and evolution. Students would learn about prehistoric dinosaurs as well as modern day “dinosaurs”. Students could experience fossils at the La Brea tar pits as, well as at the Natural History Museum. Expert paleontologists could talk to us about history and digging. Students could create model art in form of fossils and teach others how to properly dig for bones.
